| functionx, i understand. You always go leper n with a newly painted/restored bike, u will always worry about scratches n crashes. With a old bike, can go leper without worries. hehe. Makes me rethink whether want to repaint with new color or just repaint ori color over the scratches. If you repaint, can show off at TTS la, hehe! What color u repaint? Paint la some funky color, dun la paint same old boring ori color. I will repaint by myself, fluro yellow. haha! Next time, maybe after camerons trip, if i can make it.
I got my BT45 from Mok also, about 2-3 months after Liam. Front 2507, rear 2607. NKS more expensive, RM590 a pair. Wah, u got BT020, better than BT45 lah! Now u can leper with more confidence. More expensive than BT45 but better tyres, radial instead of bias ply (BT45). rpm gone down so much! Wider n heavier tyre sure la. Braking sure better. FC sure up a little, suspension maybe softer? cornering how?
William, you can buy brake pads from NKS Sentul, cheap or expensive they have. If you want top of the line, buy sintered pads from BudakSingapore, RM150 per set, sent to your home.
Hayabusa, i send to shop to recon. You can ask your JB bike shop n see if they do recon. New one is RM1,300 i think. Recon around RM300. Can also buy new one modded from other bikes from Sham, RM300++ or Racing Boy (gas) RM400++. Aku pun bukak dan cek semua bushings kat tie rods n rocker arm. Kena gris semua dan ganti mana yg dah haus.

| ya bro, if it's shiny I probably won't take as much liberty in trashing it. If I ever get around to repainting it, maybe type-r white for the fairings, flat black frame and swingarm, gunmetal grey wheels and forks, and gold or black brake calipers.
oversize tire report -
rm30 gives me a little over 380km now, instead of the usual over 410km. My riding is mostly done in the 80-100kph range (usually not much faster than overall traffic speed, faster kapchais and kancils still overtake me left and right).
in terms of acceleration... well, twisting the throttle 1-2 degrees more than usual compensates for that.
in terms of grip. This tire bites. While I thought it might be overkill on the zzr, it's a 1000% improvement over the duro in wet and sandy roads. On clean dry roads it's virtually unbuang-able. Might be hard to go back to using duro tires. |

Fuyo! Extremely good report .... for lepering but FC up a little n acceleration down a bit. Safety increase a lot, that matters a lot. Reason I didn't take up better tyres is that they don't have our standard sizes, only BT45 have both standard sizes. When u use Duro also I cannot catch up in ttkong, now sure left behind far2 away. haha! |
